Jay-Z is headed to the Super Bowl stage.
The music mogul will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show, the company announced during halftime of Monday’s Dallas Cowboys-Philadelphia Eagles game.
Super Bowl LXI is set for Feb. 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

“GOAT’s out of the bag,” Apple Music wrote in a post on X, tagging Jay-Z.
The announcement comes after reports that Jay-Z was in the running for the coveted performance.
“From Reasonable Doubt to standing on the Super Bowl Halftime stage, this has been a journey,” shared in a statement with the official announcement. “Thirty years of music, work, and culture on the world’s biggest stage. This run continues to be a dream come true.”
Puck News previously reported that the rapper had been selected over Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber, as OutKick reported last week.
TMZ had also reported that Harry Styles was among the frontrunners.

Jay-Z and his entertainment company, Roc Nation, have helped produce and select performers for the Super Bowl halftime show since 2019.
“For several years, we’ve had the privilege of working closely with Jay-Z and Roc Nation, and I’ve seen the extraordinary impact he has had on the Super Bowl Halftime Show,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
“When we first reached an agreement with Roc Nation to produce the show, I had just one request: that Jay-Z take the stage himself one day, whenever the moment felt right to him,” he continued. “I couldn’t be more excited for fans around the world to experience the artistry, creativity and cultural impact he will bring to the Super Bowl stage.”
The 56-year-old rapper is no stranger to the stadium where he’ll take the Super Bowl stage. He wrapped up his Jay-Z 30 Tour with back-to-back shows at SoFi Stadium on Oct. 23 and 24.

The four-city tour celebrated the 30th anniversary of his 1996 debut album, “Reasonable Doubt.” Puck reported that three consecutive shows at Yankee Stadium in July grossed more than $42 million, according to OutKick.
Jay-Z has won 25 Grammy Awards and was the first rapper inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. His last album, “4:44,” was released in 2017.

While the rapper has never performed at the Super Bowl, his wife, Beyoncé, headlined the halftime show in 2013 in New Orleans. She returned to the Super Bowl stage in 2016, joining Coldplay and Bruno Mars in Santa Clara, California.
