From major pop stars to classical music icons, the Greater Bay Area (GBA) will play host to some exciting musical acts in December, including a beloved Hong Kong singer, who will perform a New Year’s Eve show.

1. Concerto di Placido Domingo: Guangzhou
Legendary opera singer Placido Domingo is returning to the GBA after his October 2024 Macau concert.
This time, he will perform at the Zaha Hadid-designed Guangzhou Opera House, supported by the Cuban-American soprano Monica Conesa and accompanied by the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra.
The programme is divided into two halves: the first will feature arias from Italian classics such as Tosca and Il trovatore, while the second will be made up of more modern pieces.
The Spaniard, who has won various Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards, has sung in over 4,000 performances throughout his six-decade-long career.
