The Thai army held the Trooping the Colour parade on Wednesday, to celebrate King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s 72nd birthday.
This event was notable as it is the first of its kind in 16 years and the inaugural ceremony during the monarch’s reign.
It took place at the Royal Plaza in Bangkok, showcasing a parade of royal guards alongside an Oath of Allegiance Ceremony. Troops from different branches of the army took part, with Queen Suthida, the king’s fourth wife, leading the proceedings.
