Hinge CEO Justin McLeod to leave company, Match Group says

Dec 9 : Online dating app Hinge’s CEO, Justin McLeod, is stepping away from the company to launch a new standalone AI-driven venture called Overtone, parent company Match Group said on Tuesday.

As part of the transition, Hinge’s president and chief marketing officer, Jackie Jantos, has been elevated to the position of CEO, the parent company said.

McLeod, who founded Hinge in 2011, will stay on as an adviser through March to help with the transition, Match Group said.

Overtone is an early-stage dating startup that uses artificial intelligence and voice technology to help people connect in a more personal way.

Match Group said it plans to lead Overtone’s initial funding round in early 2026 and retain a significant ownership stake in the new company.
