The leatherback sea turtle is one of seven sea turtle species facing extinction and it plays a huge role in the marine ecosystem.
The Phuket Marine Biological Centre (PMBC) aims to protect it by taking care of newborns that typically face low survival rates, and releasing them into the wild once they are ready.
