TechPulse puts ZDNET and 4 other tech sites in one feed – for free – ZDNET

I spend a lot of time reading ZDNET and our sister sites in the CNET Group. As an EIC, I need to keep up with the latest news, but even I’ll admit that visiting several homepages multiple times a day gets tedious. Still, I don’t want an algorithmic feed deciding what might interest me every time I catch up. I want the full firehose of content as it happens.

That’s why I’m intrigued by TechPulse. CNET Group is launching a free app today on iOS and Android, bringing articles and videos from ZDNET, CNET, PCMag, Mashable, Lifehacker, and ExtremeTech into one feed. Even better, it lets me choose which publications appear.

How to see ZDNET in TechPulse

After downloading TechPulse from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, just open the publication filters for the unified feed and select ZDNET. Leave the other publications selected for the full mix, or choose only ZDNET to see its coverage. It’s up to you.

Either way, both articles and videos will appear in the feed.

Why try TechPulse?

Anyone who wants breaking tech news written by human journalists should consider TechPulse. Its algorithm-free feed lets readers choose which publications appear and brings tech news, videos, expert reviews, and hands-on lab testing into one place. Videos are integrated directly.

Best of all, there’s no subscription to read any articles or watch any videos.

I’m looking forward to spending less time clicking between sites and hunting through homepages for the latest stories, reviews, and videos. I hope TechPulse becomes my go-to for a quick scan of what’s happening in my industry. I’m starting with ZDNET in my feed, naturally, but I’ll keep the other publications there, too, because I don’t want to miss a thing.
